Terms & Condition

Medical Conditions and Disabilities

• You must inform us in writing of any medical conditions or disabilities that may affect your participation
• DTE reserves the right to decline bookings if we cannot meet your needs
• Failure to disclose relevant medical information may result in cancellation without a refund

Documentation

• Upon receiving your confirmation invoice, tickets, and other documents, check them immediately
• Report any errors within 14 days; otherwise, you will be responsible for correction costs unless the error is ours

Travel Documents

• It is your responsibility to ensure that you have all necessary travel documents, including a valid passport and any required visas or permits, before your tour starts
• Dream Trails Expeditions is not responsible for any costs or damages resulting from missing or invalid travel documents

Cancellation by You

Cancellations must be made in writing and are effective upon receipt. The following charges apply:

• More than 30 days before departure : Deposit only
• 30 to 15 days before departure : 50% of the tour price
• 15 days or less before departure : 100% of the tour price
• International flights are non-refundable, and airline cancellation fees may apply.

Cancellation by Dream Trails Expeditions

Cancellations must be made in writing and are effective upon receipt. The following charges apply:

• DTE may cancel a tour due to non-payment or force majeure (e.g., natural disasters, political unrest)
• In such cases, we will offer a full refund or an alternative holiday
• If DTE cancels for reasons within our control, we will compensate you with $75 per person, except in force majeure cases

Changes to Bookings

• Changes to tour bookings can be made up to 30 days prior to the tour start date, subject to availability and additional charges
• Changes made within 30 days of the tour start date may be treated as a cancellation and may incur cancellation fees as per the policy above

Surcharge and Price Changes

• We reserve the right to adjust prices due to external cost increases (e.g., fuel, taxes, park fees)
• If a surcharge exceeds 10%, you may cancel and receive a full refund (excluding non-refundable amounts)
• Surcharges below 2% will be absorbed by DTE

Privacy Policy

• We collect and store personal data only to the extent necessary for processing bookings, providing services, and complying with Tanzanian tourism regulations
• We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties for marketing purposes
• Sensitive payment information is processed securely, and we comply with Tanzania’s data protection regulations

Amendments by You

• Requests for changes after booking must be made in writing
• A $75 per person change fee applies ($100 per person for U.S. clients)
• Changes requested within 30 days of departure will be treated as cancellations and incur the charges outlined in Section 5

Amendments by Dream Trails Expeditions

• While we strive to maintain your itinerary, we reserve the right to make necessary changes

If major changes occur (e.g., significant flight delays, accommodation changes), you may:

• Accept the new arrangements
• Choose an alternative holiday
• Cancel with a full refund

• Compensation is not payable for minor changes or force majeure events

Carriers

• Travel by air, sea, or land is subject to the terms of the respective carriers
• DTE is not responsible for delays, cancellations, or luggage issues caused by these carriers

Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance covering:

• Trip cancellation
• Medical emergencies
• Baggage loss
• Unforeseen disruptions
• Lack of insurance may result in cancellation of your booking

Our Responsibilities

• DTE is responsible for providing services as per the itinerary at reasonable local standards
• We are not liable for third-party services (e.g., hotels, transport providers) that are not included in the package
• Independent activities or excursions not booked through DTE are at your own risk

Problems or Complaints

• If issues arise during your tour, report them immediately to the local service provider (e.g., hotel manager, safari guide)
• If unresolved, submit a written complaint within 28 days of your return
• Failure to follow this procedure may prevent us from resolving your complaint

Jurisdiction and Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by Tanzanian law, and disputes will be handled in Tanzanian courts.

Force Majeure

DTE is not liable for loss, damages, or cancellations caused by force majeure events, including but not limited to:

• Natural disasters
• War or civil unrest
• Epidemics or pandemics
• Government restrictions
• We will attempt to recover costs from suppliers and refund where possible but are not obligated to do so

Waiver of Claims Against Introducers

• If you were referred to us by a third party (e.g., a travel agent), you agree to waive claims against them and direct all concerns to DTE
