- Steeper ascent through montane forest and moorland. Explore Little Meru (3,820m) for acclimatization

Day 3: Saddle Hut to Socialist Peak to Miriakamba Hut
- Elevation : 3,570m to 4,562m (summit) to 2,514m
- Distance: 20 km
- Time: 10-12 hrs
- Early morning summit push via Rhino Point (3,800m). Descend to Miriakamba Hut after enjoying sunrise views

Day 4: Miriakamba Hut to Momella Gate
- Elevation : 2,514m to 1,500m
- Distance: 10 km
- Time: 2-4 hrs
- Gentle descent through forest trails. Transfer back to Arusha
