DAY 1: Arrival In Arusha
Staying at Rivertrees

On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be met by your driver and transferred to Rivertrees Country Inn for your overnight stay. Located on the foothills of the lush Mount Meru. It provides a peaceful place for a one-night stop to recover from your international flight before you make your way to the Tarangire National Park.

DAY 2: TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
Staying at Oliver’s Camp

After breakfast, pack your bags and depart by road on your scenic drive to Tarangire National Park. Once in the park, you’ll venture into the remote southern region for two nights on safari at Oliver’s. Spend the afternoon settling into your beautiful surroundings and experience your first taste of the wild and beautiful Tarangire National Park on an afternoon game drive.

DAY 3: TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
Staying at Oliver’s Camp

After an early breakfast in camp, head to the lounge area where you will be met by your expert guide and head out into the bush on foot for a morning walking safari in the Tarangire National Park. There is no better way to experience the wilderness of East Africa up close and personal than on foot with the sun rising in the background. Stop in the shade where you will enjoy a delicious packed lunch from heading back to camp. Back at camp, relax and refresh before a three-course meal and time spent around the campfire, drink in hand.

DAY 4: NGORONGORO CRATER
Staying at The Highlands

Enjoy a light breakfast at Oliver’s before driving through the scenic Great Rift Valley on the way from Tarangire to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, passing local coffee farms and villages along the way. While en-route, don’t forget to admire the spectacular views of the ancient volcanoes that make up the landscape. The Highlands has redefined the Ngorongoro experience and taken it to a new level – quite literally. At 2, 700 m above sea level, you can enjoy sweeping views across the region from your room.

Day 5: Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak and Descent to Mweka Camp
Staying at The Highlands

You’ll spend one full day here and have the option of enjoying a game drive in the famous Ngorongoro Crater, visiting local villages or experiencing the beauty of the area on foot by hiking the nearby Empakai or Olmoti volcanic craters.

DAY 6 – 8: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
Staying at The Highlands

Taking a packed lunch, you will spend today driving around the Ngorongoro Crater and down into the vast plains of the Serengeti, enjoying game drives once you enter the park and make your way to Dunia Camp your base in the Serengeti for the next three nights.

Depending on your preference, there are a couple of options with regards to how your days are structured. One option is to break camp early and head out with a picnic breakfast on a morning game drive, returning to camp in time for lunch. Alternatively, you can eat breakfast in camp and head out with a picnic lunch on an afternoon game drive, returning in the mid-afternoon.

DAY 9 – 11: ZANZIBAR
Staying at Matemwe Lodge

After breakfast, depart camp and make your way to the airstrip and board your flight to Zanzibar. You will be met at the airport by a representative and transferred to Matemwe Lodge to the north-east of the island. The lodge is perched on a coral rock outcrop overlooking a sandy beach gently sloping into the Indian Ocean. Adjacent to the lodge, the corals surrounding the Mnemba Atoll offer superb diving and snorkelling. Relax on the beach, have lunch or visit the spa for some pampering.

DAY 12: END OF DREAM AFRICAN HOLIDAY
Staying at The Highlands

After breakfast you will depart for Zanzibar Airport. You will then catch your connecting flight and bid farewell to your guide for your onward journey.
